Inaugurated in 2022 to mark the 50th anniversary of the UCC Ontario Provincial Council, the Trillium Award is presented every two years to youth and adults whose extraordinary volunteer contributions shape the Ukrainian-Canadian community.
Community support for Ukrainian leaders plays a pivotal role in fostering a sense of belonging and integration. In our diverse hromada, we embrace leaders to build a stronger community.
We express our sincere gratitude for the invaluable support bestowed upon the UCC OPC Trillium Award, graciously provided by BCU Financial and the BCU Foundation.
Two streams — one for adults, one for youth — each with its own categories and criteria.
Recognizes adults whose leadership, dedication, and volunteer service have made a lasting, positive impact on the Ukrainian-Canadian community.
Eligibility Must be an adult
Celebrates youth who demonstrate outstanding volunteer achievements, leadership, and dedication, inspiring others.
Eligibility Youth age 16–25
A member in good standing with the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Ontario Provincial Council.
By submitting a completed nomination form to the organization that is a member in good standing with UCC–OPC, with all the required documentation.
The UCC – OPC will make a final decision based on recommendations from the Selection Committee.
Members of the Committee are appointed by the UCC – OPC Board of Directors and may include former Award recipients and community leaders.
The Chair of the Awards Committee is appointed by the UCC – OPC Executive Committee. The Awards Committee will remain in effect until a new Awards Committee is elected or appointed.
Recipients will receive a Medal and a lapel pin during the Awards Ceremony.
Please fill in the application form and share it with your organization, which is a Member Organization of UCC – OPC for endorsement. The Member Organization is to send the application package to the UCC – OPC.
